I was born in South Florida, and have lived in Florida my entire life. I’m happily married to my loving husband, and a proud working mother to two children. I graduated from Florida State University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Child Development. After FSU I attended Nova Southeastern University where I achieved my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
I have been practicing for over 20 years, am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and also a Qualified Supervisor to over see interns. I have worked in an Adolescent Substance Abuse Center, Broward County School System, as a family counselor, mental health clinic counselor, outpatient therapist, and now as my own private practitioner where I have help people of all ages and backgrounds.
I thoroughly enjoy helping people of all ages; specializing in counseling people through many of life’s distresses, including: ADHD diagnosis, helplessness, anxiety and fear, oppositional behaviors, trouble at school, relationship conflict, and much more. At First Step Counseling Center I use many different therapy strategies when working with clients.
