Depression is a common. It has a variety of physical and mental symptoms that can affect you life; however, it’s more than feeling down or fed up every now and again. Depression can leave you sad for weeks, or even months.
Types of depression include:
- mild depression
- clinical depression
- bipolar disorder
- postnatal depression
- seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
For many people with depression, a cure or relieving the depression can seem impossible, but the sooner help is sought the sooner symptoms can be alleviated. Taking the first step towards help is often the biggest obstacle. If you experience depression symptoms continually for more than two weeks, you should seek help from your General Practitioner. Your General Practitioner can help rule out possible external or environmental causes.
