I was born in South Florida, I have lived in Florida my entire life. I’m happily married to my loving husband, and a proud working mother to two children. I graduated from Florida State University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Child Development. After FSU I attended Nova Southeastern University where I achieved my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
I have been practicing for over 25 years, am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and also a Qualified Supervisor to oversee interns. I have worked in an Adolescent Substance Abuse Center, Broward County School System, as a family counselor, mental health clinic counselor, outpatient therapist, and now as my own private practitioner where I have help people of all ages and backgrounds.
I thoroughly enjoy helping people of all ages, specializing in counseling people through many of life’s distresses, including ADHD diagnosis, helplessness, anxiety and fear, oppositional behaviors, trouble at school, relationship conflict, and much more. At First Step Counseling Center I use many different therapy strategies when working with clients.
